Thank You For Your Gift.
Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation is an Independent, 501(c)(3) Non-Profit
Because of donors like you, Army Staff Sergeant (Ret.) John and Sara Hosea were given the opportunity to participate in a six-day Couple’s Fishing Experience with Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation (WQW) this summer in scenic southwest Montana. Because of people like you, the Hoseas experienced much needed camaraderie, a new network of support and a reinvigorated relationship that has had unique challenges after combat. “Spending a week with women who share my beautiful struggle was life giving to me. Being a caregiver can be tough. It can be lonely, scary and exhausting,” said Sara.
Through your charitable gift you make it possible for WQW to continue pursuing our long-term goals of assisting more post-9/11 combat veterans and their spouses to achieve Better Mental Health, Healthier Relationships and a Greater Sense of Purpose.
“There have only been a handful of times since John was hurt back in 2012 that I have heard the sweet sound of his laugh—and I’m not talking about (the) occasional giggle, but from the gut, deep belly laughter. This sound only comes when he finds true connections with the men who know and understand his kind best. The men who share an oath, love of country, and miss the adrenaline rush of it all as much as he does,” said Sara, reflecting on their week with WQW.
A year-end donation from you will create more positive results like the Hosea’s. In 2017, we plan to expand our therapeutic programs by 20%. Please consider helping us meet our goal so WQW may develop new programs and new strategic partnerships benefitting more warriors and their caregivers next year. As Sara wrote to WQW, we say the same to you, “from the deepest part of our hearts, we thank you.”
