The Warriors and Quiet Waters (WQW) Board of Directors is happy to announce the selection of Brian Gilman as the new Executive Director of WQW.
Brian is a native of Butte, Montana, and a graduate of Montana Tech. He is currently on active duty as a Colonel in the USMC and will join WQW in early July. Brian’s distinguished career as a ground intelligence officer and Reconnaissance Marine spans over 26 years, having completed multiple combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Brian is currently the Chief of Staff at Marine Forces Special Operations Command. During his career he also served as the commanding officer of both 1st Reconnaissance Battalion and the Marine Raider Training Center.
Brian brings years of experience building and leading elite, high performing teams. He also served in the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Office of Reintegration where he led the Chairman’s collaboration with Federal Government interagency partners, private-sector corporations, foundations and not-for-profit organizations to create effective reintegration pathways for transitioning military service members.
Brian will graduate with an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill this year. Brian, his wife and two sons are excited to move home to Montana.
