Ward currently resides in Eastern North Carolina with his wife and children. Ward grew up in Upstate New York, where his father gave him a love for the outdoors and hunting and fishing. After graduating high school, Ward joined the US Navy and served 20 years as a Navy Corpsman serving with USMC units, including 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Force Reconnaissance Company, and MARSOC. Ward retired in 2013 after sustaining combat wounds which made it impossible for him to continue military service. For leisure, Ward likes to golf, and do woodworking, and thanks to Warriors & Quiet Waters, he now enjoys fly fishing. Ward has once again found purpose through service by giving back to others and spending time with his family and friends. Ward looks forward to being a part of the Warriors & Quiet Waters family by serving on the Alumni advisor Board.
