Sandy Stash, WQW Board Chair, Joins the CAE

We are thrilled to share the incredible news that our board chair, Sandy Stash, has been elected as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE). This prestigious honor highlights Sandy's remarkable contributions to the engineering field and her unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.

The announcement was made by CAE President Soheil Asgarpour in conjunction with the Academy’s 2024 Annual General Meeting held in early May. The official Induction Ceremony is set to take place on May 28, 2024, in London, Ontario, where Sandy will be celebrated alongside fifty-three other new Fellows.

With over 40 years of experience, she has held numerous executive roles across the energy, manufacturing, and mining sectors. Currently serving on the Boards of Diversified Energy Company, Trans Mountain, Chaarat Gold, and Medallion Midstream, Sandy's impact on the industry is profound and far-reaching.

From her early days as a drilling engineer to her current executive leadership positions, Sandy has demonstrated a unique ability to bridge the extractive sector with external stakeholders – in government, civil society, and communities. Her dedication to fostering collaboration and understanding across these groups has set a standard for engineering excellence and social responsibility.
