Warriors & Quiet Waters Foundation (WQW) raised $199,000 at its annual Journey Home Golf fundraiser. The sold-out event brought in supporters for both the tournament and post-tournament reception. Brian Gilman, Colonel, USMC, (Ret.), gave the keynote address about his journey home from a 27-year Marine Corps career, multiple combat deployments, and finding a new mission with WQW.
The Journey Home Golf Tournament, which took place at Riverside Country Club on Monday, July 26, began with a Step Aside Scramble and shotgun start at 1 p.m. and concluded with a reception at 6 p.m.
“Because of our community's generosity we exceeded fundraising goals for this event,” said Emily Sather, WQW’s Chief Development Officer. “Thank you for investing in WQW in a way that shows Warriors and their loved ones just how much the WQW community is committed to supporting their journeys home.”
