Allison Snow-headshot

Allison Snow

Maj, U.S. Air Force (Ret)

Allison enlisted into the Air National Guard right out of high school. While enlisted she attended the University of Illinois and received her BS Degree in Aviation Human Factors. After graduation she was commissioned and completed Undergraduate Pilot Training where she earned her wings and became a C-17A Pilot.

As a C-17A Aircraft Commander, Allison was responsible in supporting theater forces for resupply missions, critical airlift requirements of the theater commander, and airlift employment operations within the combat zone or forward area. In addition, she executed aeromedical and refugee evacuations and supported joint service and multi-national airlift missions around the world. Allison flew and directed combat operations supporting several conflicts and contingencies. She also held a variety of positions as Wing Executive Officer and Inspector General of Complaints & Resolutions; Resource Advisor and Combat Support Staff Director for Alaska’s rescue squadron; and, lastly, as Air Mobility Operations Officer.

After 25 years of military service, Allison made the difficult decision to retire. Finding employment post-separation was an unexpected struggle. However, through perseverance and patience, she was hired by Little Belt Cattle Company as their Operations Manager. Pleased to return to her agricultural roots, Allison has enjoyed renewed hope and purpose in Montana.

Moreover, after being introduced to Warriors & Quiet Waters, she has found additional fulfillment amongst fellow veterans and volunteers. Allison’s service as a volunteer with WQW has been invaluable to her adjustment to civilian life. Because of her experience with a difficult transition, Allison is compelled to give veterans reassurance and remind them that their value is in the person, not in their military identity.
