Peter Nalen

Peter is a marketer, entrepreneur, and new business development expert. He founded and led Compass Healthcare Marketers for 13 years, after holding marketing positions with companies such as P&G, J&J and Burton Snowboards.

Currently, Peter manages Peak Advisory, providing startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs critical positioning, marketing and new business development management expertise. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Montana State University, teaching classes in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Management, at Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship and Literature in The Honors College. In addition, he is a venture coach and mentor at the MSU Blackstone Launchpad as well as other entrepreneur groups in the area. He is Chair of the David A. Nalen Foundation, performing member of the Bozeman Symphonic Choir, and performs musically as Slate Hudson.

He holds a BA in American Literature and Marine Biology from Middlebury College and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Marketing, Policy, and Management.
