Phil Uihlein

Phil was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and spent many summers in Montana’s Madison and Gallatin Valley, both working and with family.

He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also had the opportunity to play on the UW hockey team. After graduation, Phil worked at his family business from 1973 until his retirement in 2010.

In the late 1970s, Phil served on the Board of Managers for the Schroeder YMCA and in the early 1990s as a Trustee for the University School of Milwaukee respectively.

Nearing the end of Phil’s business career, he purchased property in the Madison Valley and moved to Montana full time in 2010. He enjoys working with horses and taking long rides in the mountains. In 2019, Phil will mark six years as a volunteer in key roles with the organization. Prior to serving on the WQW Board of Directors, Phil served on the WQW National Advisory Board for five years, most recently as the NAB Chair.
