First-Time Programs

Our first-time Fishing Experiences (FX) are the beginning of a better future for many post-9/11 combat veterans and their caregivers. FX’s are completely free to participants and include travel to Quiet Waters Ranch in Montana, as well as gifted equipment for participants to take home with them. Participants join a group of up to 6 veterans or caregivers who are ready to reflect on their service, find community in the WQW family and discover a sense of purpose.

Hunt for Purpose

Hunt for Purpose is an intensive, 6 month pursuit to plan, prepare for and execute a successful archery elk hunt in Montana’s backcountry. Along the way, participants will learn the basics of elk hunting and backcountry survival, improve their physical fitness, and work alongside fellow Warriors and loved ones toward a common goal.

WQW offers several ways for alumni to return to Quiet Waters Ranch to further hone their new skills, deepen the connections they’ve made, share meaningful experiences with family members, and continue fostering their sense of purpose in civilian life.

Your sponsorship gives a participant everything they need to find a peak experience during their stay in Montana.

Your sponsorship ensures a worry-free experience for a Warrior and the mental space to help them find meaning and purpose in their post-service life. Additionally, your sponsorship gives them access to a community of veterans, caregivers and their loved ones who offer support and connection for a lifetime.

The privacy of our program participants is a priority of our organization. While you won’t know the name of the Warrior you sponsored, we will let you know which program they attend.
