Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering!

Every year 200+ volunteers for Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation (WQW) open their hearts and donate their time (over 10,000 hours annually!) in service to our nation’s post-9/11 combat veterans. WQW’s volunteer program aims to empower individuals to make a difference in meaningful ways and there are many ways you can help  – as an individual or group, behind-the-scenes and during therapeutic programs.

Volunteer applications are accepted year-round. To be considered for program placement in 2019, applications must be submitted by January 31, 2019. Volunteer interviews will take place in January and February, 2019. Volunteers will be notified of placement by February 28, 2019. Until then, all applicants will be considered for opportunities in 2018 outside of direct program support.

Steps to becoming a volunteer:

Step #1 – Review the Volunteer Handbook

Step #2 – Review the 2018 Volunteer Job Descriptions (specific to anyone with interested in direct program support)

Step #3 – Submit a Volunteer Application

Step #4 – Wait patiently – Emily Sather, Community Engagement Manager, will contact you to arrange a volunteer interview. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received.

All volunteer applications are thoroughly reviewed.
