Use What You Got
Starring Saul Martinez, WQW's Chief Program Officer
In 2007, Saul was deployed to Iraq where he was wounded by an IED, resulting in the loss of both of his legs. Since then, Saul has learned to live life as an amputee.
On Friday, August 13, we'll be releasing the full-length feature on Saul's journey.
Saul's candid about how people should talk to amputees, what it's like living with prosthetics, how he reacts when kids ask about his legs, and he even shares what has been healing for him.
Anyone who knows Saul will agree that he is a man with a big heart. We feel incredibly honored that Saul decided to share his story with us. Knowing how to talk to amputees is important for all of us in the Veteran community.
Stay tuned: we'll be dropping the full-length feature on YouTube, Instagram TV, and on the WQW website on 8/13/21.
If you want in on an exclusive opportunity to hear Saul speak, tickets for WQW's 3rd annual Warrior Taste Fest are now on sale. Saul will give the keynote address. Purchase your ticket here: http://e.givesmart.com/events/lUQ
